Read about our project development process below. Requirements Gathering Through meetings and phone calls we'll gather the requirements for your project. Depending on the size of the web site, we could accomplish this in one conversation or several conversations. UMB will help identify issues and potential solutions during the requirements gathering phase. It is our objective to have a clear understanding of the problem and a good idea of the solution that you would like to implement. Proposal Once the requirements gathering component is complete, UMB WebSolutions will create a vision and scope document. This document will explain, at medium level of detail, the functionality of the web site, assumptions, and dependencies. This document will also include the cost of the project. The proposal that UMB WebSolutions puts together for you will be for a fixed price. The bid that we give you is what we will charge to develop the web site. Once you sign off on the vision and scope document, the development process will start. Development During development we usually start by having our usability expert and creative director review the requirements and have conversations with you to understand the design requirements. Once the general site layout, design, and navigation are approved, UMB WebSolutions will start creating the code. Throughout the development phases UMB WebSolutions will communicate progress, ask lots of questions, and ask you to review key pieces of the project. We engage our clients throughout the process so that we ensure that we are developing the web site to your satisfaction. We will not go off and develop a solution and then present it as a final product. We will keep you engaged and have several review points throughout the process. Once the development stage is complete, the project will move into the testing and implementation phase. Testing and Implementation During this phase, we run different scenarios and test scripts. After extensive testing, we'll open up the application for you to test.
